Recent violent protests by the Gujjar community in India's north-western state of Rajasthan have once again focused attention on the government's affirmative action plan to give lower caste and minority people better access to jobs, healthcare and education. Trouble began on Tuesday when the Gujjars began blocking major highways in order to press for their demands. The Gujjars are traditional shepherds found across many states in north and western India. I wish to congratulate you all for we are progressing slowly but steadily. All of us must work five minutes everyday contributing towards our community. It can be in the form of counselling, guidance, helping students, helping elders, arranging meetings of our community persons once in months so that an espirit-de-corps develops and we start feeling for our brethren and sisters in the community. Please look beyond self and you will find lots of pains existing in our community and thus you will forget your pains and selfish behaviour. I am a film maker by profession and in the process to make a film on a Gujjar .The film is based on a Hindu Gujjar woman who helps a small Muslim boy and saves his life at the time of partition of 1947.
The films name is "love you Maa ." .The film will surely enhance the glory and courage of Gujjars all around the globe.
Its going to be a proper Hindi feature film which i am planning to be a shoot in the month of June.
However if you are interested in being the part of the film in terms of finance then the project can work more smoothly and efficiently and would be able to proliferate to much larger audiences rather than just restricting to the Gujjar community.
